This market will resolve according to the team that wins the 2026 IIHF World Championship hockey tournament. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win the 2026 IIHF World Championship per the rules of the tournament (e.g. they are eliminated in the knockout stages), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 IIHF World Championship is cancelled, postponed after June 14, 2026, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the IIHF World Championship tournament organizers (https://www.iihf.com/en/events/2026/wm); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Canada enters the 2026 IIHF World Championship as the clear frontrunner with a stacked roster anchored by Sidney Crosby, Macklin Celebrini, John Tavares, and additional NHL depth that reflects superior organizational talent pipelines and recent international experience. Switzerland benefits from home-ice advantage in Zürich and Fribourg plus strong recent medal contention, while Finland and Sweden maintain consistent top-tier form through disciplined defensive structures and goaltending. The United States, as defending champions, faces a tougher path in Group A despite elite young talent. These dynamics align with trader consensus favoring Canada’s experience edge over a competitive field where upsets remain possible in knockout stages.
