Kyle Schwarber has surged into the clear lead for the MLB home run crown with a league-high 20 long balls through mid-May, including a two-homer night that made him the first player to reach that mark in 2026. His elevated slugging percentage and consistent power against right-handed pitching have fueled the Phillies' offense while traders assign him the highest implied probability among contenders. Aaron Judge sits second with 16 homers and strong on-base metrics for the Yankees, keeping him within striking distance despite a slightly slower recent pace. Munetaka Murakami's 15-plus homers for the White Sox and Matt Olson's steady output for the Braves round out the top tier, though injuries or slumps could shift momentum in the coming months of the regular season.
