In the ATP Challenger doubles draw at the Istanbul event, Martos Gornes and Walkow meet Ayeni and Cook in an early-round matchup on hard courts. The contest centers on serve-volley execution and doubles-specific chemistry, areas where established pairings often hold an edge over newer combinations. Martos Gornes brings recent singles momentum from prior challenger stops, pairing with Walkow’s consistent baseline returns and net coverage developed on European circuits. Ayeni and Cook counter with athletic court coverage and aggressive returns honed in recent training blocks, though their limited joint match history leaves room for adjustment issues. Historical patterns in comparable Istanbul challengers show home-surface familiarity and rest advantages frequently tilting results, especially when one team navigates a shorter turnaround.
