Matthew Dellavedova, the higher-ranked Australian at approximately No. 311, enters the ITF M25 Taipei hard-court round of 16 with stronger recent form, including multiple wins in prior M15 events across Asia and a prior victory over Koyama in July’s M15 Tokyo. The 18-year-old Japanese Koyama, ranked near 1174, has advanced through Taipei qualifying and posted solid main-draw results on the same surface, yet faces a clear ranking and experience gap. Trader pricing reflects a narrow edge for Dellavedova, underscoring the competitive matchup on outdoor hard courts where both players have logged recent matches without reported injuries or withdrawals affecting availability.
