Jessica Pegula and Iga Swiatek meet in the Cincinnati Open semifinals on outdoor hard courts, with Swiatek arriving on a 10-match winning streak that includes last week's Toronto title. The Pole advanced comfortably when Elena Rybakina retired injured in the first set of their quarterfinal, while Pegula fought through a physically demanding three-setter against Amanda Anisimova. Swiatek holds a narrow all-time head-to-head edge and has won their most recent encounters, though Pegula owns several hard-court victories against her and maintains strong consistency in 2026. Both players face the added pressure of preserving energy and health ahead of the U.S. Open, with fatigue from recent schedules and any lingering effects from quarterfinal exertions likely to influence the outcome.
