The 2026 MLS season features pronounced parity among its 30 clubs, keeping implied probabilities for runner-up tightly clustered as traders price in similar title-contention odds across the field. Multiple teams maintain comparable records through consistent regular-season results, with no single side establishing a sustained edge in the Supporters' Shield race or playoff positioning. Factors such as roster depth, recent form across Eastern and Western Conference matchups, and standard injury-report fluctuations continue to balance outcomes without clear separation. Historical patterns of late surges by mid-table sides and the impact of home/away splits further support the even distribution reflected in current market consensus.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of MLS for the 2026 season per the rules of MLS (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the MLS; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
