Several clubs enter the 2026-27 Bundesliga campaign with comparable squad depth, recent European experience, and targeted summer reinforcements that keep the race for runner-up wide open behind Bayern Munich. Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, VfB Stuttgart, and Eintracht Frankfurt all feature strong attacking options and defensive organization built from prior top-four finishes, while promoted sides like Hamburger SV and 1. FC Köln add uncertainty through fresh momentum. Pre-season results and fixture congestion from the post-World Cup calendar further balance expectations, as no single challenger has pulled clear on form or key personnel stability. Trader pricing reflects this parity, with multiple teams viewed as realistic candidates depending on early-season consistency and injury management.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Bundesliga for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Bundesliga (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Bundesliga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
