Krajicek and Mektic, the fourth seeds with a strong recent record on hard courts including a Delray Beach title, advanced to the Winston-Salem doubles final after dropping the opening set in their semifinal against Arribage and Guinard before prevailing in the match tiebreak. Nouza and Oberleitner, a rising pair with limited prior ATP final experience, have shown strong momentum by upsetting the third seeds Miedler and Polmans 6-4, 6-2 in the semifinals and earlier defeating Ram and Salisbury. Both teams navigated tight encounters en route, with the matchup on outdoor hard courts highlighting contrasting styles between the veterans’ consistency and the challengers’ recent form ahead of the US Open swing.
