California Assembly Bill 2624, which would extend address confidentiality protections to immigration support providers and prohibit online publication of their personal information, advanced through early committee stages in April but has not progressed to floor votes in either chamber. With the June 30 deadline approaching, the measure faces Republican opposition over free-speech concerns and requires approval by both houses plus the governor’s signature within weeks. No recent floor action, amendments, or procedural accelerations have been reported that would compress the standard legislative timeline, leaving the bill well short of enactment under current session rules.
