The Traitors’ back-to-back wins in 2024 and 2025, paired with its 2026 Critics Choice Real TV Awards sweep for best competition series and additional honors for host Alan Cumming and ensemble, have cemented its position as the clear frontrunner in the Emmy category. Traders see the Peacock series’ consistent critical and production edge—highlighted by prior Creative Arts wins in directing, cinematography, and editing—as outweighing the milestone appeal of Survivor’s 50th season or the returns of RuPaul’s Drag Race and Dancing with the Stars. With final-round voting recently concluded ahead of the September 14 ceremony, the 90.7% market-implied probability reflects this established momentum. An upset would require a significant shift in Academy voter sentiment toward one of the other nominees, though historical patterns favor the defending champion.
