This market will resolve according to the team that wins the 2026 IIHF World Championship hockey tournament. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win the 2026 IIHF World Championship per the rules of the tournament (e.g. they are eliminated in the knockout stages), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 IIHF World Championship is cancelled, postponed after June 14, 2026, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the IIHF World Championship tournament organizers (https://www.iihf.com/en/events/2026/wm); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Canada enters the 2026 IIHF World Championship as the clear frontrunner with its deepest roster of NHL talent, including Sidney Crosby, Macklin Celebrini, and multiple high-end centers, giving the team superior depth and experience that traders view as decisive in a loaded field. Switzerland benefits from hosting duties in Zurich and Fribourg, plus a veteran core led by Roman Josi and Nico Hischier that has delivered strong recent results, including a home win over the United States. Finland, the United States, Sweden, and Czechia remain in contention through consistent group-stage form and solid goaltending, yet trail due to narrower talent margins and tougher early matchups. Early tournament results have reinforced Canada's edge while highlighting Switzerland's home-ice lift, keeping the implied probabilities clustered around these established powers.
