This market will resolve according to the team that wins the 2026 IIHF World Championship hockey tournament. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win the 2026 IIHF World Championship per the rules of the tournament (e.g. they are eliminated in the knockout stages), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 IIHF World Championship is cancelled, postponed after June 14, 2026, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the IIHF World Championship tournament organizers (https://www.iihf.com/en/events/2026/wm); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Canada leads the 2026 IIHF World Championship market as trader consensus reflects its deep NHL talent pool, including standouts like Macklin Celebrini and established stars such as Connor McDavid, positioning the team for its first title since 2023 after Olympic silver. Switzerland benefits from home-ice advantage in Zurich and Fribourg plus recent silver-medal form, while Finland draws support from consistent contention and Olympic bronze momentum. Sweden and the defending-champion United States trail amid early group play that has produced limited upsets so far, with roster availability and power rankings reinforcing the current implied probabilities across the field.
