Alesia Breaz, the 18-year-old Romanian ranked near 900 in WTA singles, faces 27-year-old Italian Angelica Raggi, ranked around 590, in the first round of the ITF W15 Bucharest 3 on clay. Raggi holds the ranking edge and greater professional experience at this level, with a steadier recent win-loss record across ITF events, while Breaz has posted strong 2026 results on the surface including multiple wins in similar W15 tournaments. As a local player, Breaz benefits from home-country support and familiarity with Romanian clay conditions, potentially offsetting the ranking gap in what appears a competitive opener with no prior head-to-head meetings. Surface-specific form, physical freshness after recent schedules, and any last-minute withdrawal or injury updates will shape outcomes, as these lower-tier events often hinge on momentum and adaptation.
