The tight clustering in this market stems from early-season ABS challenge data showing numerous clubs clustered between 50-61% success rates amid modest sample sizes and high variance. Catchers lead league-wide overturns at roughly 58-60% compared to batters near 48%, favoring teams with experienced backstops such as the Marlins and Mets, whose current totals sit near 51-57%. The Diamondbacks top recent trackers at 60.7% thanks to strong pitcher-catcher execution, yet volume differences and regression risk keep implied probabilities compressed. Brewers, Reds, and Phillies sit close behind with balanced contributions, while low-volume sides like the Guardians and Astros trail amid limited challenges. Roster stability, catcher framing, and situational usage will likely dictate final positioning as the season progresses.
