The Chicago Cubs hold a slim lead in the NL Central standings over the Milwaukee Brewers, bolstered by offseason additions including third baseman Alex Bregman and starter Edward Cabrera that have strengthened their lineup depth and rotation. Recent form shows both clubs competitive in the division race, with the Brewers maintaining strong pitching anchored by Jacob Misiorowski while navigating Christian Yelich’s back injury that could sideline the veteran DH. The upcoming series features a key pitching matchup between Cubs left-hander Shota Imanaga and Misiorowski, alongside typical factors like home/road splits at American Family Field and bullpen reliability that often sway late-inning outcomes in this longstanding NL Central rivalry.
