This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 National League Comeback Player of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Zack Wheeler's commanding lead stems from his elite 2026 performance following offseason rib surgery near his throwing shoulder, which delayed his Phillies debut until late April. Since returning, the veteran right-hander has posted career-best marks around a 2.15 ERA over 100-plus innings while anchoring a turnaround rotation and emerging as a Cy Young frontrunner. Sandy Alcantara sits well behind as the primary alternative after rebounding from a 2025 Tommy John recovery year, delivering a 13-6 record and 3.52 ERA across 25 starts that reflect improved command and workload. Brandon Woodruff's season-ending shoulder procedure in July has curtailed his candidacy, while position players and relievers like O'Neil Cruz and Tanner Scott trail due to narrower statistical profiles and less pronounced bounce-back narratives relative to the top pitchers.
