Philadelphia Phillies and Pittsburgh Pirates continue their interleague series at PNC Park on May 16-17 following the Phillies' dramatic 11-9 extra-inning victory on May 15. Kyle Schwarber's two home runs, including his MLB-leading 20th, powered a comeback from a six-run deficit and highlighted Philadelphia's offensive surge despite a 21-23 overall record. The Pirates, sitting at 22-19 and among the NL's early surprises, squandered a late lead and now face bullpen questions amid multiple injuries. Aaron Nola's start against Pittsburgh's staff sets up the next matchup, with both clubs dealing with roster absences that could influence late-inning decisions and run totals.
