Denny Hamlin holds the slimmest edge in the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series Chase at 28% implied probability, with Kyle Larson at 22% and Christopher Bell at 19% reflecting a tightly bunched leaderboard after 28 races. Hamlin maintained the top seed through consistent top-10 finishes and four regular-season wins, but Larson’s Gateway victory cut the deficit to nine points while Bell’s Darlington win kept him within striking distance. The 10-race Chase format, featuring short tracks like Bristol and road courses favoring multiple contenders, rewards steady points accumulation over single-race heroics. Recent form, strong historical results at upcoming venues, and minimal DNFs among the top six drivers sustain the narrow spreads, as any strong multi-race stretch by Larson, Bell, or Ryan Blaney could rapidly shift the consensus.
