The 2026 Big Ten rushing title remains tightly contested early in the season, with a deep group of returning backs from programs like Michigan, Ohio State, Rutgers, Iowa, Michigan State, and USC preventing any clear separation in trader pricing. Jordan Marshall, Cam Edwards, Kamari Moulton, Darius Taylor, and Bo Jackson headline preseason projections based on prior production, but Week 1-2 results show mixed outputs amid new schemes, offensive line adjustments, and shared backfields. Factors such as workload distribution, injury resilience, and conference schedule strength continue to shape implied probabilities near 45-50 percent, underscoring the conference's typical parity at the position where small edges in volume or efficiency can shift standings rapidly.
