The 2026 SEC rushing touchdowns race remains tightly bunched among a deep group of returning and transfer running backs because multiple programs feature proven producers or high-upside options entering the season. Kewan Lacy returns to Ole Miss after leading the conference with 24 rushing scores in 2025, while Ahmad Hardy at Missouri, DeSean Bishop at Tennessee, and Jadan Baugh at Florida posted double-digit touchdown totals or strong yardage marks last year. New additions such as Dilin Jones at LSU and Hollywood Smothers at Texas add further parity, and uncertainty around Hardy’s recovery from offseason injury plus variable offensive line and quarterback play across the league keep implied probabilities clustered. Traders price in the conference’s typical depth and the unpredictable distribution of goal-line opportunities early in the campaign.
