Mitch Marner’s record-setting performance in Game 3 of the 2026 Stanley Cup Final, where he netted the fastest hat trick in series history within a 6:10 span to help Vegas take a 2-1 series lead over Carolina, has driven overwhelming trader consensus around his 84.5% implied probability. The Vegas forward, already the playoffs’ leading scorer after joining the Golden Knights, now sits atop the single-game goal leaderboard with three tallies in one contest. Other Vegas contributors such as Mark Stone and Tomáš Hertl, along with Carolina skaters including Jackson Blake and Eric Robinson, trail significantly as the series shifts to potential elimination games where defensive adjustments and goaltending could limit high-scoring outbursts. Historical patterns in Finals play show that matching or surpassing three goals in a single game remains rare once momentum shifts.
