Recent technical disruptions at VALORANT Champions 2026 Shanghai stemmed from conductivity issues with custom metal stage desks interfering with wireless mice, producing multiple input stutters, missed shots, and tech pauses across group-stage matches, including four pauses in one FUT Esports versus 100 Thieves map. Riot responded by mandating wired mice, applying temporary fixes, and fully rebuilding desks, with officials confirming no further disruptions after implementation. Playoffs, a double-elimination bracket of best-of-three and best-of-five series running October 7–18, began after these changes at the Jing’an Sports Center before shifting to Mercedes-Benz Arena for finals weekend. Remaining upper-bracket and lower-bracket matches could see fewer pauses if the hardware upgrades hold, though extended series and any venue-specific factors may still influence totals.
