Martín Zubimendi holds a narrow edge among contenders for most yellow cards in the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League, driven by his four bookings and league-high minutes as a combative central midfielder who commits frequent fouls in high-stakes ties. Declan Rice and Mikel Merino sit close behind with three cautions apiece, reflecting their similar high-volume roles anchoring Arsenal's midfield during the club's extended run to the later knockout stages. The fragmented field stems from post-quarterfinal card resets that reset accumulation thresholds for most players, while Arsenal's additional fixtures against physical opponents create extra opportunities for tackles and disciplinary exposure. Trader consensus reflects these situational edges in playing time and style without guaranteeing any single outcome.
