Brandon Aiyuk's contract situation with the San Francisco 49ers defines the current trader consensus, as the team voided his 2026 guarantees last summer following missed team activities and a season-ending ACL tear in 2024 that sidelined him entirely in 2025. This move has fractured the relationship, positioning the wide receiver as a likely departure via post-June 1 release or trade, though the 49ers continue seeking draft compensation rather than rushing a deal after the 2026 NFL Draft. Multiple teams hold comparable implied probabilities due to Aiyuk's talent and relatively low base salary, with reports highlighting interest from clubs like the Commanders—leveraging his prior connection to quarterback Jayden Daniels—and other contenders needing receiving depth. Recent stalemate updates show no imminent trade, leaving roster spots open across the league while the 49ers weigh their options before the September deadline.
