FIFA and Global Citizen officially announced on May 14 that Madonna, Shakira, and BTS will co-headline the first World Cup Final halftime show on July 19 at New York/New Jersey Stadium, with Coldplay’s Chris Martin serving as curator. The production incorporates global icons whose music crosses borders, plus Muppets and Sesame Street segments focused on youth education, aligning with the tournament’s international scope. Shakira’s recent “Dai Dai” collaboration with Burna Boy serves as the official World Cup song, adding momentum. Traders are monitoring any late roster adjustments or broadcast decisions, such as the BBC’s reported stance on coverage, while the July final date remains the key resolution trigger amid the broader 2026 tournament schedule.
