The Fed's unanimous decision and dot plot signaled further tightening this year amid persistent inflation, while three BoE members voted for an immediate increase and markets now price multiple UK hikes by year-end. Higher UK energy-driven inflation and the loss of relative yield support have weighed on sterling, pushing the pair below its 200-day average. Key upcoming catalysts include the Fed's October 28 meeting and the BoE's November 5 decision, which could clarify the rate path and influence year-end levels within the broader 1.31-1.37 trading range.
