Novak Djokovic has repeatedly stated no immediate retirement plans, with his comments centering on competing through at least the 2028 Olympics and returning to Wimbledon once more. In July 2026 interviews following his Wimbledon semifinal exit, the 39-year-old acknowledged the career end feels closer yet affirmed he still competes at an elite level and aims to enjoy ongoing Grand Slam appearances. His 2026 schedule has included the Australian Open, French Open, and Wimbledon without withdrawal signals tied to retirement, while earlier hints about Melbourne Park focused on specific events rather than an exit. Trader consensus reflects these longevity goals and lack of recent announcements, tempered by the natural uncertainty around form, injuries, and motivation in a veteran ATP career.

To resolve "Yes", the announcement must clearly state that Novak Djokovic is retiring or indefinitely departing from ATP Tour professional tennis with intention of not participating in any event that contributes to an ATP ranking. The announcement must come from Novak Djokovic or official representatives thereof.
Only announcements which are framed as announcing a departure from professional competition intended to be effective within 12 months of the date of the announcement will qualify (e.g., neither "I will leave competition in 2 years," nor "I will not play forever," would qualify).
If Djokovic retires in a qualifying manner but maintains, renews, or announces his intention to participate in the Olympics, that retirement will still qualify. Olympic participation, or participation in a tennis competition which does not contribute to an ATP ranking, will have no bearing on this market.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official statements from the named individual or authorized representatives thereof.
