Yen-Chun Wang and Kuan-Shou Chen meet in the first round of the ITF M25 Taipei on hard courts, with no prior professional head-to-head record. Wang brings more immediate pro circuit activity, including recent qualifying appearances at M15 events on similar surfaces in China, while Chen arrives with notable junior results such as Wimbledon boys' draws and other ITF junior tournaments. Both players are Taiwanese, competing on home soil in a lower-tier event where ranking points and experience gaps often prove decisive. Recent form favors Wang's match readiness, though Chen's junior pedigree offers realistic upset potential in a closely contested opening match.
