This market will resolve according to the team that wins the 2026 IIHF World Championship hockey tournament. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win the 2026 IIHF World Championship per the rules of the tournament (e.g. they are eliminated in the knockout stages), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 IIHF World Championship is cancelled, postponed after June 14, 2026, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the IIHF World Championship tournament organizers (https://www.iihf.com/en/events/2026/wm); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Canada enters the 2026 IIHF World Championship as the clear market leader with the deepest roster, anchored by veterans like Sidney Crosby alongside rising talents such as Macklin Celebrini. Despite a recent Olympic final loss to the United States, Canada’s combination of NHL-caliber depth, experience in high-stakes international play, and strong early tournament results in Switzerland have solidified trader confidence. Finland and host Switzerland follow closely, buoyed by consistent recent form, solid defensive structures, and home-ice momentum for the Swiss. Sweden, the defending champion United States, and Czechia remain viable contenders through balanced lineups and historical success in IIHF events, though they trail due to shallower talent pools compared to the top trio.
