Mitch Marner’s dominant position in this Stanley Cup Finals market stems from his record-setting performance for the Vegas Golden Knights against the Carolina Hurricanes, including the fastest hat trick in Finals history at 6:10 during Game 3 and a playoff-leading 29 points. The former Maple Leafs forward, acquired in the offseason, posted multiple multi-goal outings that established a high single-game total unlikely to be matched in the six-game series won by Carolina. Traders’ consensus reflects these confirmed on-ice results and Marner’s consistent offensive impact across the postseason. A realistic challenge would require another skater—such as a Hurricanes forward or Golden Knights depth player—to record four or more goals in one remaining contest, though series completion limits that possibility.
