In the ITF M15 Andong quarterfinal on outdoor hard courts, Shinji Hazawa (ATP 720) holds trader consensus edge over Keisuke Saitoh (ATP 825) due to his higher ranking, superior 2026 hard-court record (15-13 vs. 11-9), and a dominant 6-1, 6-3 head-to-head win over Saitoh in 2022 on the same surface. Hazawa advanced with a gritty three-set comeback over unranked Thomas Edwards, while Saitoh handled qualifier Ko Suzuki in straight sets. Both Japanese players show solid recent form—Hazawa winning four of his last six, Saitoh mixed—but no injuries or withdrawals alter the landscape. Momentum and stylistic familiarity favor Hazawa in this low-stakes futures grinder.
