Japan's 26-man World Cup squad, finalized in mid-May under coach Hajime Moriyasu, features strong European-based depth with Wataru Endo as captain, Takefusa Kubo, Daichi Kamada, and defenders like Hiroki Ito and Ko Itakura. Recent friendlies against Scotland and England highlighted Zion Suzuki's likely goalkeeper role and midfield experiments involving Kaishu Sano and Ao Tanaka. Key absences of injured attackers Kaoru Mitoma and Takumi Minamino have shifted focus to forwards like Ayase Ueda and Daizen Maeda. Trader sentiment for starting XI markets reflects confirmed squad selections, historical Moriyasu preferences for high-pressing Europeans, and pre-tournament form, with resolution tied to official lineups announced before each Group F match.
