Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula, ranked No. 4 and No. 3 respectively, meet in the Cincinnati Open women's final on hard courts, marking the first all-American title match at the event since 1970. Pegula reached the final with a strong run that included a semifinal victory over defending champion Iga Swiatek, while Gauff advanced convincingly past Sara Bejlek. Pegula holds a narrow 5-4 head-to-head edge overall and enters with a superior 2026 win-loss record, though Gauff claimed their most recent meeting at Wimbledon on grass. Both players demonstrate consistent recent form ahead of the US Open, with Pegula seeking a third title of the season and Gauff aiming for her second Cincinnati crown. The matchup features two American players with comparable power baselines and experience in high-stakes hard-court encounters.
