Arsenal enter the 2026-27 Premier League as defending champions with unmatched managerial continuity under Mikel Arteta, shifting market focus onto a tight pack of challengers for runner-up. Manchester United lead the implied probabilities thanks to sustained second-half momentum from last season, permanent head coach Michael Carrick, and targeted summer reinforcements. Manchester City face adaptation without Pep Guardiola, while Liverpool and Chelsea adjust under new managers Andoni Iraola and Xabi Alonso. Recent World Cup participation has created squad freshness concerns across the leading sides, and key injuries such as Arsenal’s William Saliba add uncertainty. This combination of transitions, form trends, and fixture demands keeps the runner-up contest highly competitive among the top five or six clubs.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Premier League for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Premier League (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Premier League; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
