Group D of the AFC Asian Cup 2027 features Australia, Iraq, Tajikistan, and Singapore, creating a balanced contest where implied probabilities remain tightly clustered. Australia and Iraq bring substantial experience, including past continental titles and strong qualification records, yet recent international form and squad depth have not produced a clear edge. Tajikistan’s quarterfinal run in 2023 and Singapore’s merit-based qualification add momentum and defensive resilience that traders view as realistic threats in a short group stage. With matches scheduled from January 9 onward in Saudi Arabia, factors such as travel, rest between fixtures, and tactical matchups further compress the field, leaving no side above a modest consensus lead and preserving upset potential across the board.
