Incumbent Democratic Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove holds a commanding lead in partial results from California's June 2 top-two primary for the 37th congressional district, exceeding 50 percent of the vote in a nine-candidate field. Republican Baltazar Fedalizo trails in second place near 13 percent, ahead of other Democratic challengers such as Samantha Mota. Under the state's nonpartisan primary rules, the top two finishers advance to the November general election regardless of party affiliation. The heavily Democratic district has seen limited campaign activity beyond the incumbent's established fundraising and name recognition advantages, with vote counting still underway but unlikely to alter the leading positions.
