The 2026–27 Croatian HNL season opened in late July with Rudeš promoted from the Prva NL replacing Vukovar 1991, who finished bottom and dropped after one campaign in the top flight. Early results show HNK Gorica rooted to the foot with just one point from five matches, while promoted side Rudeš and Slaven Belupo sit near the relegation zone amid poor goal difference and defensive issues. Dinamo Zagreb and Hajduk Split remain dominant at the top, but the bottom group faces familiar challenges: limited squad depth, fixture congestion, and historical struggles to accumulate points against mid-table sides. Traders are monitoring opening-week form, injury updates, and whether the promoted side can stabilize before the winter break, as the single relegation spot typically hinges on late-season momentum in the compact ten-team division.

Official relegation is defined as a team losing its place in Croatian HNL for the following season through their final standing in the 2026-27 Croatian HNL, via relegation playoff defeat, or by any other official league decision recognized by Croatian HNL.
If the 2026-27 Croatian HNL season is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there are no teams confirmed for relegation within that timeframe, the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
The primary resolution source will be official announcements from Croatian HNL. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
