The 2026-27 Eredivisie race for third place remains tightly bunched because multiple clubs possess comparable squad depth and recent form after a summer of significant transfers and managerial changes. PSV, Ajax, and Feyenoord retain strong cores despite key departures and new coaching at De Kuip, while AZ, Twente, NEC, Utrecht, and Go Ahead Eagles have shown resilience through preseason and early matches. Promoted sides like ADO Den Haag, Cambuur, and Willem II lag near the bottom, but mid-table teams benefit from balanced schedules and limited European distractions for some contenders. Trader consensus reflects this parity, with no single side establishing clear separation in the opening weeks.
