Canada enters the 2026 IIHF World Championship as the clear market leader thanks to a stacked roster featuring Sidney Crosby, Macklin Celebrini, and additional NHL talent that provides superior depth at center and on the blue line. Early preliminary-round results have reinforced trader confidence in their ability to navigate the group stage and knockout rounds. Switzerland benefits from home-ice advantage in Zurich and Fribourg plus a cohesive core including Roman Josi and Nico Hischier, while Finland maintains strong positioning through consistent defensive structure and goaltending. Sweden and the United States trail due to solid but less dominant recent form and roster availability amid playoff schedules, leaving the rest of the field as longshots with limited realistic paths to gold.
