This market will resolve according to the team that wins the 2026 IIHF World Championship hockey tournament. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win the 2026 IIHF World Championship per the rules of the tournament (e.g. they are eliminated in the knockout stages), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2026 IIHF World Championship is cancelled, postponed after June 14, 2026, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the IIHF World Championship tournament organizers (https://www.iihf.com/en/events/2026/wm); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Canada enters the 2026 IIHF World Championship in Switzerland as the clear consensus favorite, buoyed by an NHL-heavy roster featuring elite forwards like Connor McDavid and Nathan MacKinnon alongside veteran leadership. Their strong group-stage results and historical international pedigree have solidified trader confidence in a deep playoff run. Finland and Switzerland sit tied for second, with the latter gaining from home-ice familiarity in Zurich and Fribourg while Finland relies on its trademark defensive structure and recent medal contention. Sweden, the United States, and Czechia follow as credible threats, each drawing support from recent form, key roster additions, and head-to-head trends against top competition. The wide spread in implied probabilities reflects Canada’s roster edge while acknowledging the tournament’s inherent unpredictability through the knockout stages.
