Alex Smalley holds a two-shot lead heading into the final round at Aronimink Golf Club after carding a 68 in Round 3, marked by seven birdies over his last 12 holes despite an early stumble. This positions him as the frontrunner in the trader consensus, yet the field remains tightly bunched with Jon Rahm, Ludvig Åberg, and Rory McIlroy all within striking distance on a demanding layout that rewards consistent ball-striking and short-game precision. Recent form, head-to-head major results, and current leaderboard momentum have shaped the implied probabilities, underscoring how quickly a hot putter or steady iron play can shift outcomes in the season’s second major.
