This market will resolve according to the listed country/region of the 2026 Pokémon VGC World Championship (Masters Division) champion. For the purposes of this market, "Europe" refers to any country within the Play! Pokémon Europe rating zone. If the champion's listed country is not the United States, Japan, or a country within the Play! Pokémon Europe rating zone, this market will resolve to "Other". In the event of a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the country/region of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 Pokémon VGC World Championship is cancelled, postponed after September 13, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or if a champion has not been declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from The Pokémon Company International; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Japan's overwhelming 95% market consensus stems from its players' dominant recent form and qualification pipeline, including Hiroshi Onishi's victory at the 2026 Japan Championships and multiple Japanese competitors posting elite records at Worlds in San Francisco. Top seeds such as Onishi and Takuma Yamazaki have advanced through Swiss rounds and top cut with strong win rates, reflecting deep roster depth, consistent high-level preparation in the Regulation M-B format, and a track record of prior Masters titles from the region. This positioning reflects trader consensus on structural advantages in player development and recent head-to-head results. A non-Japanese champion would require an unlikely upset in the grand final or earlier eliminations of the leading Japanese contenders amid the 395-player field.
