The Patriots hold a strong 68.5% implied probability to win the season series against the Dolphins due to a pronounced roster and performance gap entering 2026. New England, coming off a Super Bowl appearance with quarterback Drake Maye and key additions like wide receiver A.J. Brown, sits at 1-1 after a defensive-minded win over the Steelers, while projecting for around 10 wins. Miami, in a full rebuild under new head coach Jeff Hafley and with quarterback Malik Willis, opened 0-2 with lopsided losses including a 13-35 defeat to the 49ers, and carries one of the league’s lowest projected win totals near 5. The two AFC East meetings—Patriots at Dolphins in Week 8 and Dolphins at Patriots in Week 18—favor New England’s superior talent, coaching stability, and divisional edge, though a split remains plausible given the Dolphins’ occasional home resilience.
