This market will resolve to "Yes" if any player finishes a single complete round (not including any playoff) with less than 62 strokes during the main tournament at the 2026 US Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". If the 2026 US Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club is cancelled, postponed after July 5, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or if a score below 62 cannot be determined within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source will be the official results published by the US Open website (https://www.usopen.com/leaderboard).Shinnecock Hills Golf Club has hosted five prior U.S. Opens, with only three players finishing under par across those events due to its narrow fairways, deep rough, firm greens, and demanding setup that routinely produces scoring averages well above par. The current tournament record of 62, achieved twice in 2023 at a more receptive Los Angeles Country Club layout, has never been approached at Shinnecock under major-championship conditions. With the 2026 edition beginning June 18 on a course expected to play similarly firm and penal, the wisdom of crowds reflected in the 96% “No” pricing highlights how few realistic paths exist for a sub-62 round. Only an unusually soft setup from heavy rain or an unprecedented individual performance could realistically shift that assessment.
