Mike Breen reserves his rare double “Bang” call for only the most dramatic three-pointers, having deployed it fewer than ten times across a long broadcasting career that includes multiple Finals appearances. In the ongoing 2026 Knicks-Spurs series, New York holds a narrow series lead behind Jalen Brunson’s scoring and Victor Wembanyama’s interior dominance, yet the matchup has produced standard highlight plays rather than the precise late-game heroics that trigger the double call. Historical precedent shows these moments remain outliers even in high-stakes playoff environments, supporting trader consensus that the probability of one occurring across the remaining games stays below even odds.
