Valve's reworked Cache map launched in Counter-Strike 2 on April 29, 2026, entering Casual, Competitive, Deathmatch, and Retakes modes after Valve acquired full rights and optimized it for Source 2. The update featured refreshed visuals, layout tweaks including changes at A-site, and a 5.1 GB patch, yet the map remains outside the Active Duty pool used in Premier and pro play. Community and analyst focus now centers on post-IEM Cologne Major timing for full integration into the rotating map pool, coinciding with Premier Season 5, with Mirage frequently cited as the likely map to drop. This recent addition without immediate pro rotation shapes trader views around Valve's deliberate pacing and upcoming schedule decisions.
