Valve released a reworked version of Cache in late April 2026, adding the map to Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch, and Retakes modes following community-driven updates by creators FMPone and Volcano. The map remains outside the active duty Premier pool, which currently features Ancient, Anubis, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, and Overpass. Trader focus centers on whether positive feedback will prompt Valve to rotate it in during the next balance cycle, potentially displacing Train, Ancient, or Overpass based on recent form and player sentiment from pros like m0NESY. Schedule factors include Valve's history of infrequent pool changes and the need for one map to exit rotation to maintain balance.
