Sinja Kraus enters the second round of Roland Garros qualifying with a higher WTA ranking near 101 and fresh momentum after a three-set victory over Celine Naef on clay. Noma Noha Akugue, ranked around 164, also advanced by defeating Tatiana Prozorova but carries a lighter recent schedule outside ITF events. Kraus has compiled a solid clay-court record this year with strong results in prior European stops, while Akugue relies on efficient baseline play and a slight head-to-head edge from their lone prior meeting. The slow, high-bouncing surface at Roland Garros favors extended rallies and endurance, areas where Kraus has shown recent improvement through consistent match wins.
