**Petr Bar Biryukov enters the M15 Maanshan 8 first-round match as the clear favorite against Qian Sun on indoor hard courts.** The 24-year-old left-hander, ranked around No. 286 with a career-high of 267, holds a 31-21 record in 2026 and has won multiple ITF titles, including strong hard-court results (22-11). He reached the semifinals of the preceding M15 Maanshan 7 event before a loss to Kokoro Isomura, demonstrating consistent recent form across challengers and futures. By contrast, the 25-year-old right-handed Sun sits near No. 1046 with a 15-15 (or 9-13) 2026 mark and has struggled in recent Chinese M15 events, posting several early exits. No prior head-to-head exists between the pair. Bar Biryukov’s higher ranking, lefty serve advantage on the surface, and superior depth give traders strong consensus on his implied probability, though Sun’s occasional wins against comparable opposition leave limited room for variance in a best-of-three format.
