Arthur Fery, the 32nd seed ranked around No. 36, enters this Cincinnati Open second-round hard-court matchup with a first-round bye and stronger recent results on the ATP Tour, including deep runs at Wimbledon and other events. James Duckworth, ranked No. 86 and a 34-year-old Australian veteran, advanced by defeating J.J. Wolf but faces a significant ranking and form gap on this surface. Their head-to-head favors Duckworth 2-0 from prior hard-court encounters, yet trader consensus reflects Fery's superior current standing, youth, and consistency as the clear favorite, with limited late changes to draw or fitness reported.
